Enable VIRTUAL TEXTURE SUPPORT is one of the first things you should do when using this pack. This ensures that terrain colors and textures display correctly, and allows for proper blending of grass, rocks, and other elements that rely on RVT. You can disable VIRTUAL TEXTURE ON TEXTURE IMPORT if you don't want to import the textures as virtual textures.

Generate Mesh Distance Field :

Also enable GENERATE MESH DISTANCE FIELD If you want, shorelines, and foam for the water.

Shadow Map Method :

Switching the shadow map method to Virtual Shadow Maps provides better shadow casting for the assets, whereas the regular Shadow Maps tend to produce blurry shadows. The project also use Lumen so Virtual Shadow Maps is better.

Lumen

This pack uses Lumen. If it is disabled in your project by default, go to Project Settings, search for “Lumen” in the search bar, then enable Lumen for both Dynamic Global Illumination and Reflections.

  1. In your Content Folder let’s create two Runtime Virtual Texture Volume, one for Color and second for Height. Right-click ⇒ Texture ⇒ Runtime Virtual Texture. Create a new "RVT" folder inside your Content folder to avoid having textures and files scattered all over the place. Always keep your folders well organized! 😊
